Bus Information
Buses from Nottingham Castle to Wollaton Park
PLUTO is located on the terrace in
Nottingham Castle. There is generally an admission charge
to enter the Castle.
Leaving the Castle by the Gatehouse, bear right into Friar Lane. In 80m
cross Maid Marian Way (dual carriageway) and continue towards the City
centre. Just before Friar Lane enters the Old Market Square find bus stop
F4. Take an Indigo, i4 or 21 bus, all operated by Trentbarton, which leave
this stop at least every 5 minutes through weekdays (every 10 mins on
Sundays). Alight at Hillside bus stop on the Derby Road, walk 80m further
on to a pedestrian crossing and follow directions to Wollaton Park in the
walk guide.
Buses from Wollaton Park to Uranus
From JUPITER, retrace your steps back over the small bridge, turn right
and walk along the side of the Lake. Where the lake's edge starts to bend
round, turn half left and, keeping the golf course on your left, join a
path beside an avenue of small trees. Exit through the gatehouse at the
end of the path, and cross the road to the bus stop opposite. Take an i4
or 21 bus, both operated by Trentbarton,
which leave every 10 mins (20mins on Sundays).
Alight at the Thorseby Road (Beeston) bus stop. Thoresby Road is on the
opposite side of Derby Road (dual carriageway) a short way back towards
the city. Walk up Thoresby Road for 700m until open space is found on both
sides of the road. Immediately turn right up a steep path which joins a
gravel path at the end of a short climb. Locate URANUS
where the gravel path ends on top of a rock outcrop.

Buses from Wollaton Park to Nottingham
From JUPITER, retrace your steps back over the small bridge, turn right
and walk along the side of the Lake. Where the lake's edge starts to bend
round, turn half left and, keeping the golf course on your left, join a
path beside an avenue of small trees. Exit through the gatehouse at the
end of the path, turn left and find a bus stop on the same side of the
road. Take an i4 or 21 bus, operated by Trentbarton, or a 36 bus,
operated by NCT, to return
to Nottingham city centre. Buses leave this bus stop about every 5 mins
(10 mins on Sundays).

Take the i4 or 21 bus, operated by Trentbarton, to return to
Nottingham city centre. Buses leave this bus stop about every 10 mins (20
mins on Sundays).
